Born in Bahrain and raised in London by an Iraqi father and English mother, Misha Nonoo's multicultural upbringing exposed her to a diverse collection of references, which gave her a deep appreciation for global artistry. She received her business degree first from London's European Business School, as well as the prestigious Ecole SupĂ©rieure du Commerce ExtĂ©rieur in Paris to create her business strategy then  worked for a small tailoring company in the Garment District. With her degree in business and 2 years of working in the business she started her company and was successful early on.  Her cultural and educational diversity were key components of her success.  As a result, Misha Nonoo earned the  Fashion Group International’s Rising Star award in 2012 for her  Women’s Ready to  Wear collection. All of her designs are manufactured in Manhattan’s Garment District and display great craftsmanship and quality, which make them even more desirable. Her designs are so easy to wear and effortless that she displays them with models wearing sneakers. She is known for luxurious fabrics, especially Spring 2014's hand painted silk that is a centerpiece for her collection.  Her designs are essentially British, but also playful and quirky to make them adored by all women. Nonoo has gained many famous followers during the short duration she has been in business and they include Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Amanda Seyfried and Pippa Middleton.
